On Friday, August 23, 2024, Mother Hildegard Brem, Abbess of Mariastern-Gwiggen, went to the Lord, after a few weeks battling a serious illness which she lived with serenity, offering herself to God for the Church, the Order and her beloved community.
Let us remember with gratitude the many precious services which Mother Hildegard gave with generosity and competence for many years for the formation, the translation and the diffusion of texts concerning our spiritual patrimony as a member of the Abbot General’s council and the synod of the Order. United in prayer, we entrust her to the mercy of the Father and we remain close in affection with her community. May she in heaven sing the Magnificat with the Mother of God, our life, our sweetness and our hope.
